Card Monsters is a free-to-play mobile card game developed and published by Edgebee for iOS, Android, and browser games on several websites. The game features a simple battle system, a friendly art style, and a variety of strategy options. Players can also earn rewards from playing the game, including free cards and gold.

Players battle AI-controlled decks of other online players in ranked or unranked Arena duels. They can also play in the Events mode, which involves a tournament structure with prizes awarded to the winners. Players can also join guilds to fight for rewards and help each other out.

The game is played with a standard 52-card deck, with Monster Cards (Japanese: Monsutakado Monsuta Kado) representing the monsters that players battle. Each monster has a unique name, Type, Attribute, and Attack Rating. Some Monster Cards are classified as Effect Monsters, which have special abilities that can affect the entire field. There are also Normal Monsters, which have no effects. Some monsters have additional abilities that can be triggered when they are equipped with certain items.

Players use a six-color-coded item system to equip their Monsters with different abilities, which can make them more powerful during combat. They can also attack by placing their Monster Cards in a numbered order that specifies which area of the field they will target. The numbered slots can be occupied by Magic, Melee, Ranged, or Chaos Monsters. The game also has two different types of monsters: Link Monsters, which can only be summoned from the Extra Deck, and Pendulum Monsters, which can be summoned by sending a number of Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Monsters to the Graveyard.
